I’m a color lover. I love my images in color and rarely do I convert my normally clean, colorful images to anything else. But on those rare occasions, I look at an image and my mind starts revving up about a different processing style. Since I’ve been shooting my Photo-A-Day Project and processing in all black & white conversions, my love for b/w has grown.

Naturally, this image was well-loved as a bright, colorful clean edit, especially the dark curly hair paired with her beautiful red coat. It reminded me of a little red riding hood child in the forest. However, it was missing something. So I did a completely different process on it as a moody, emotional black and white and totally loved it! I guess it just depends on the mood you are feeling and how you want to portray the image. Same girl, same setup, same image – completely different feels.

What a joy it is to have a creative mind.
